Psychologist

Chi is a compassionate, empathetic, and warm therapist who values each individual’s unique experience. She provides a space for people to explore their struggles and needs in ways that encourage change and growth, whilst offering a respectful and validating environment. She feels passionate about helping people to develop a greater capacity for resilience to help them flourish, as well as developing meaningful and positive relationships with themselves and others.

Chi has experience working with people with a range of difficulties including depression, anxiety, substance abuse, grief and loss, traumatic stress, stress management, relationship difficulties and parenting stress and a whole range of other mental disorders. She has worked with clients from a range of cultural backgrounds and age brackets ranging from children to late adults. She has worked providing therapy both to individuals, couples, families, and in group settings. Chi has a multidisciplinary background, also having worked in medical research and in corporate banking.

Chi uses an evidence based and collaborative approach in her work drawing on a number of therapeutic approaches including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Interpersonal psychotherapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, she also uses an eclectic approach when suitable to help people achieve their goals.

Chi holds a Post Graduate Diploma and Graduate Diploma in Psychology, from Charles Sturt University and the University of New England, respectively. Chi also holds a Bachelor of Sci (Physiology), from the University of New South Wales. Chi is registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and is a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APA). She is also a Workcover accredited practitioner.
